Calendar Years 2024 & 2025

As a registered charity with a clear mandate to provide education and treatment support to the members
of the Halifax Professional Firefighters – IAFF 268, we are proud to share a transparent summary of how
funds have been disbursed to December 31,2025.
Our organization exists solely to support the health, wellness, and resilience of the firefighters who serve
our community. We are committed to responsible stewardship of every dollar raised and to ensuring that
the overwhelming majority of funds go directly to member support.

How Funds Were Distributed

Direct Support to Members – 92.5%

The vast majority of funds were allocated directly to supporting members. This includes access to
education, treatment programs, mental health supports, and other initiatives aligned with our
charitable mandate. Our priority remains ensuring that firefighters receive timely, meaningful
assistance when they need it most.

Administration – 6.45%

A small portion of funds was used for essential administrative costs required to operate
responsibly and in compliance with regulatory requirements. These costs include insurance,
reporting, communications, and operational expenses necessary to maintain charitable status
and ensure transparency.

Recognition and Awareness – 1.05%

These funds supported initiatives aimed at increasing awareness of firefighter wellness,
recognizing member contributions, and promoting education around occupational health and
resilience within the firefighting community.

Salaries – 0%

No member of the Board of Directors or administration receives a salary. All leadership roles are
voluntary, ensuring that the maximum possible percentage of funds raised directly benefits our
members.

Our Commitment

We are proud that 92.5% of all funds raised were directed straight to member support, reflecting our
unwavering commitment to those we serve. We remain dedicated to financial transparency,
accountability, and maximizing impact for the firefighters of IAFF 268.
